Christina Skibicki - Fort Myers, Florida - I have been diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I’ve been using my art to cope with my mental illness since I was a child. Drawing was my passion until my 20’s. Then I lost interest in everything that once brought me joy, including drawing. Recently I’ve decided to pick up a brush and paint with encouragement from my friends. Without art I would have nothing to help me cope with my illness. I now have an escape and something to be proud of myself for. Thanks to my art I have a reason to get well and stay well.
